When I arrived J.. had already been sailing and advised a (seemingly big) 6.7. Glad I followed his advise as my 6.0 would have been way too small for the day.

Got some reasonable runs in, but the onshore conditions made sailing a bit tricky at times. Could have used a bit more power at times, but could not be bothered to change up so just released the outhaul as much as poss.

Got some nice footsterring going and managed a 'fast Flare gybe' (if there is such a thing). Almost managed a 3/4 carve gybe, but tripped over the front footstrap when doing the footswitch and ended up with my nose pressed hard against the sail which was lying in the water!

Sailed much farther over in the harbour and found some nce swell on the Weymouth side, but there was also a lot of weed over there which put paid to some moves and runs.

Overall a good day out, but still not the elusive 5 star day!
